SOOO... Hi?
I'm Shazza, I'll be your host on this magical journey into my life. Unless you can do better. In which case, how much would you charge??
I don't know what I'll be using this for, but it sounds cool, so what the hell, right? God knows I need all the relaxing writing therapy I can get!
Maybe I should start with a dream I had... I can't get it out of my head.
This is how I wrote it down the morning after
A dream:
Me and a group of friends were staying on Dartmoor with the ten tors teachers
- Kirsty from camp
- Megan from school
-Liam from school
-Lewis and James, my two best friends
My sister and her best friend Cloe.
There were more but I don't remember them.I don't know why I dreamed about them because some of them in not close to or some of them I haven't seen in months
Anyway, we were up on Dartmoor. It was night and we were asked to find a specific location on the moor. Not using a compas or barings or anything, just using our intuition and a vague direction,
I've had this dream before with different locations.
But this time we were told to go south.
It was almost pitch black, because hello, middle of Dartmoor with no lights. I was partnered with Kirsty and she started running off as fast as she could. She was very competitive.
I try to chase after her and tell her we need to stick together and stop running off or I'll make you hold my hand like a child.
We heard this kind of... Howling noise? And we both started running towards it. I was worrying, wondering about how we'd get back to where we were staying... Kirsty... Not so much.
We reached a hut that sounded like the howling was coming from inside.
We opened the door. The room behind wasn't pitch black, it was lit up by a green light. I remember dream-thinking that the teachers were drama queens.
There was a person in the cell... Ok, so before this point, everyone was someone I'd met, or know previously... That changes here.
Inside the cell was Joel Heyman from Roosterteeth.
I have no idea why he was there either. I just accepted it though... It was a dream.
So I assumed our task was to get him out of the cell. Problem was, there was this big black creature that looked kind of like a rabid kangaroo standing in front of him. That explains the look of terror of Joel's face. Joel pointed to a hatch in the ground on his side of the cell, the. To one on ours.
Kirsty guessed that maybe they were linked and that we had to go underneath to get him out.
We opened the one on our side and...
There are times when being brave comes naturally. This was absolutely not one of those times.
I remember words now.
"It's very dark down there." I said to Kirsty
"No kidding. Come on, he can't unlock it from his side."
(I am really not proud of dream self here) "well... Do we both need to go down or..."
"Shannon Brown. Are you scared of the dark?" Kirsty sounded close to laughing. I didn't blame her.
"Well... Not of the dark. Just the things in the dark. Like, spiders are much worse when you know they're there but can't see them,"
Kirsty crossed her arms. I got out my phone and used it as a torch. It looked okay down there...
And then I woke up.

I don't know. Strangely, that wasn't the weirdest dream I've ever had.
